Kerr Modern Tartan Bear

A Tartan collectible bear handmade using the Kerr modern tartan. One of these bears has even been on tour with Simple Minds. These are collectible bears and not recommended as toys due to the buttons used to stitch on the arms and legs. When standing these bears are approximately 11 inches in height. These are made from top quality tartan woven in the Borders of Scotland. Please note the bears may differ from the photograph depending which part of the tartan is used. Each bear will contain the full pattern.

The Kerr Modern tartan is predominantly red, green and black. The vikings termed marsh dwellers "kjrr". When their descendants arrived in Britain from Normandy with William the Conqueror the term had become a name with the forms Ker and Kerr, also Carr and Carre.
